Mini Catalog Celebration Theme!
Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create With Connie & Mary! If you’ve seen the new products from our newest Mini Catalog, you know that we have some awesome new bundles, stamp sets, dies and more. This week, I am featuring the Painted Lavender Bundle as my favorite new bundle.
I also used our new Perennial Lavender Designer Paper and added a Paper Butterfly Accents that I colored with two inks and a Blending Brush since they come white in color. I also added a layer of Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush on the butterfly after the ink was dry. It’s so pretty in person!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Painted Lavender, Stippled Roses
- Inks: Highland Heather, Lost Lagoon
- Cardstock: Lost Lagoon, Fresh Freesia, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper
- Tools & Accessories: Painted Lavender Dies, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems, Paper Butterfly Accents, Pretty Peacock & Gold Metallic Ribbon, Blending Brushes, Radiating Stitches Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Tear & Tape, Mini Glue Dots
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Lost Lagoon Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Fresh Freesia Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Perennial Lavender Designer Paper 5″ x 3-3/4″. Cut on the long side at 2″ and flip the short piece over to the 2nd pattern. Glue both patterns to card front.
- Ribbon: Add a strip of Tear & Tape where the two designer papers are joined and add a 3-3/4″ long piece of ribbon in place.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2nd die from Radiating Stitches Dies. Glue to card front about 3/4″ from the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Lavender: Using a Blending Brush, add two ink colors to the branch image. Start with Highland Heather Ink and then add Lost Lagoon Ink to some of the branches. Do this twice and cut both images with the die. Overlap to each other with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Set aside.
- Stems: Ink the stems image with Lost Lagoon Ink and cut with the die. Repeat twice. Layer the two stems under the two branches and glue to the white layer.
- Butterfly: Add Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather Inks to the white butterfly with a Blending Brush. Glue butterfly to the lavender.
- Ribbon: Tie a knot with the ribbon and glue to the butterfly with Mini Glue Dots.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock with Lost Lagoon Ink. Cut close to the lettering and glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the background at the top.
