Trusty Tools Masculine Card!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a collage of tools:
If you know me well, you know I love to create masculine cards and the Trusty Tools Bundle is such a great set. I used the peg board die for one of the background layers and added layers of tools:
The mixture of colors really makes the tools stand out and the addition of the Industrial Trinkets finishes the card off nicely:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Trusty Tools
- Inks: Read Red, Basic Gray, Real Red, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, Basic Beige
- Cardstock: Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Basic Beige, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Country Woods
- Tools & Accessories: Trusty Tools Dies, Industrial Trinkets, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Thick Basic White Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Country Woods Designer Paper 5-1/2 x 4-1/4. Glue to card front.
- Layer 3: Country Woods Designer Paper 4-3/4 3-1/2. Glue to card front centered.
- Layer 4: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 3-7/8 x 2-1/2. Cut with the peg board die. Glue to card front centered.
- Layer 5: Basic White Cardstock cut with the label die. Stamp the sentiment in the center with Real Red Ink. Glue 1/4″ from the right side and in the center vertically.
- Tools: Complete each tool as follows:
- Wrench: Basic Gray Ink on Basic Gray Cardstock. Cut with the die. Glue close to the sentiment on the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hammer: Basic Gray Ink on Smoky Slate Cardstock. Stamp the inside of the handle with Coastal Cabana Ink. Cut with the die. Layer over the wrench and add Stampin’ Dimensionals at the top and liquid glue on the remainder of the hammer.
- Brush: Basic Gray Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock. Stamp the inside of the handle with Real Red Ink. Stamp the bristles with Basic Beige Ink. Cut with the die. Layer over the hammer with liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tape Measure: Basic Gray Ink on Coastal Cabana Cardstock. Stamp the body of the tape measure with Calypso Coral Ink. Cut with the die and glue to the right of the brush with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add 3 Industrial Trinkets.
