Shoebox Swapping with Friends!
The winter months are so long and sometimes can be lonely. Two of my close stamping friends and I have decided to meet once a month to stamp together. We each design 2 cards and make up kits for our 2 friends and we end up with six complete cards when we are done.
A few weeks ago, we met in Deb’s home (yes, another Deb) and had a great time. Deb even invited us over for supper before we created because she had made a large soup and some sandwiches she wanted to share.
For the next three days, I’ll be showing the cards we all designed and created. Today I am showing you the two cards that were designed by Deb Clark. Two beauties. The first one is one that I will use for a Tea Time & a Card class & video at some point, so I can show you how to create one yourself. We used the Adorable Owls stamp set that you can earn for free during Sale-a-Bration that ends on February 28th.
The 2nd card features the Spotlight Technique:
If you’ve never done the Spotlight Technique, you stamp an image twice. Once on the cardstock layer and once on a scrap piece of cardstock. You choose part of the image that you want as your “spotlight”, cut it up small or shaped and layer a colored cardstock underneath. The spotlight image is lined up and glued over the first image with Stampin’ Dimensionals so it stands out, thus the word “spotlight”. Here’s a close-up of the spotlight:
The stamp sets used were Go To Greetings and Decorative Borders. Come back and visit tomorrow so I can show you two more cards. Have a great day!
