Welcome Angie Cosme for the Month of January!
For the next few months, I will be featuring stampers from my Stamp & Ink Designs Team. The features will be posted every Friday and the featured stamper will have projects for one whole month. This month, Angie Cosme is my featured stamper. She will celebrate 3 years as a team member next month!
For Angie’s pick, she is featuring the Country Bouquet Bundle which includes the stamp set and coordinating punch. This week, she also included the coordinating Country Floral Lane Designer Paper and even made two cards for us:
I love the non-traditional colors for a Valentine’s card on the first one because you know, I’m a non-traditional color girl. The 2nd card is equally beautiful with the Valentine’s reds. Below are Angie’s notes that she sent me:
- Basic White Cardstock (I used thick) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″.
- Layers: Sweet Sorbet Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ for card 1 layer and Balmy Blue Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ for card 2 layer.
- 6 pieces of coordinating Country Floral Lane Designer Paper cut into 4-3/4″ x 1″ strips. Each card will require 3 strips.
- Basic White Cardstock for both cards 4-3/16″ x 1-1/16″ (used for the middle strip so it does not get lost in the sweet sorbet layer underneath
- White cardstock scraps for stamping hearts & leaves
- Sentiment strips use Basic White Cardstock 3-1/4″ x 5/8″
- Inks used: Card 1 – Sweet Sorbet, Mossy Meadow and Card 2 – Balmy Blue, Mint Macaron
- Using the Country Bouquet Punch, I aligned the punch with the designer paper that matches the punch and punched out a heart from the designer paper.
- On scrap Basic White Cardstock, I stamped a heart outline from the Country Bouquet stamp set in 2nd generation Sweet Sorbet Ink and the leaves from the Country Bouquet stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink. I used the punch to punch out both.
- I stamped Happy Valentine’s Day in Sweet Sorbet Ink on one of the sentiment strips.
- I then glued the sentiment strip on the back of the Sweet Sorbet designer paper Heart and glued the punched-out heart outline to the strip as well, but made it a little higher so that it would be higher than the designer paper heart. I then cut down the strip so that on card 1, it ended at the border of the card, and on card 2, it ended at the border of the white layer. I attached the sentiment strips with dimensionals.
- I then glued two leaves together and glued them under the heart on each card.
Thanks for your projects this week Angie and I can’t wait to see what you create for us next week!
