Dynamic Duo Theme!
Good evening and welcome to a Stampers Dozen August Blog Hop! Our theme this month is Dynamic Duo which means we are all using two colors on our projects! I went with Basic Black and Soft Sea Foam. Do you like?
I kept my card Clean & Simple and sometimes those are the prettiest cards. My image was heat-embossed with black embossing powder and I used a Blending Brush to add Soft Sea Foam Ink to the leaves. You can see more of the details below:
Follow along and I’ll list the steps for my card, but first this is what I used:
- Stamps: Blessings Of Home
- Inks: VersaMark, Soft Sea Foam
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Soft Sea Foam
- Tools & Accessories: Basics Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Blender Pen, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold at 5-1/2″.
- Layer 2: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Soft Sea Foam Cardstock 4-3/8″ x 3-1/8″. Follow these steps:
- Stamp the branch image to the left with VersaMark Ink.
- Sprinkle with black embossing powder.
- Stamp the sentiment to the right of the image and at the bottom.
- Sprinkle with black embossing powder.
- Heat with a Heat Tool to melt the powder.
- Use a Blender Pen and Soft Sea Foam Ink to color the leaves.
- Color the flowers with Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.
- Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
