Stampin’ Up! Style #StampinUpWCMD22
I loved participating on our first-ever Stampin’ Up! World Cardmaking Event. Although I was part of a craft fair on the actual day, the event was recorded so two friends that also missed the event, visited with me and we made the projects together.
You can see how I had set up my dining room table since there were three of us and the 2nd photo shows us in action. What a mess we had going on!
Below, you will find photos of the three cards we all created. It’s fun to see how they are slightly different from each other. The first set are the ones I created:
Followed by Deloris’s cards and Deb’s cards. Yes there were two Debbie’s in attendance. I’ve actually had up to 5 Debbie’s in my classes recently. It’s quite a hoot!
I’m going to feature one card at a time so I can show you what we did to each card. This one has some stamping, coloring and diecutting:
The Cottage Rose Bundle includes the stamp set and coordinating dies as you can see in the photo below. The flowers are so detailed and easy to color. There’s even little shadows to show you where to add the darker coloring:
The diecuts of flowers and leaves are so detailed. The card elegant with all the elements we used for stamping and layering:
We used Shimmery White Cardstock which is the best cardstock to use when coloring. Plus the paper adds a subtle shimmer to everything. Colors used were Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and So Saffron and these are the cardstock measurements:
- Start out by folding the Basic White card base on the score line.
- Using Basic White layer #2, stamp the leaf image three times as a background. Make sure you stamp far out enough so the leaves will show when you add your other layers. Crumb Cake Ink was used.
- Stamp the large flower image on the scrap Basic White piece with Memento Black Ink. Color using Stampin’ Blends Markers in Flirty Flamingo, Mint Macaron, Old Olive and So Saffron. Glue over the stamped leaves using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Using the dies, cut out one leaf and two flowers with Crumb Cake Cardstock. Tuck and glue under the large flower image.
- Stamp the sentiment on the scrap piece of So Saffron Cardstock using Memento Black Ink. Glue to card front over the flower with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to the background
Stay tuned for Card #2!
